We've Partnered with Virgin Voyages
Agents who want to book Virgin Voyages packages can now do so through booking portal Virgin Atlantic Flightstore.
Cruises, flights and hotels are available on Virgin Atlantic Flightstore’s website vaflightstore.com.
Pre and post-cruise hotel accommodation is supplied by Virgin’s preferred hotel partners.
The Virgin Atlantic Flightstore partnership will allow agents to book a cruise and Virgin Atlantic flights to and from Miami, where Virgin Voyages’ maiden ship Scarlet Lady will be based from April 2020.
Virgin Atlantic flies daily to Miami from Heathrow with one-stop routes available with Delta Air Lines.
Agents will be able to package Mediterranean itineraries on Virgin Voyages’ second ship, Valiant Lady, using Virgin Atlantic’s partner airlines.
Valiant Lady will sail seven-night itineraries out of Barcelona, where the ship will debut in May 2021.
Agents will earn 10% commission on anything they book through Virgin Atlantic Flightstore.
The decision to make Virgin Voyages package available on Virgin Atlantic Flightstore is the latest move by the line to encourage trade bookings.
In December, the line announced agents could earn up to 6% bonus commission on selected sailings for UK agents.
Shane Riley, Virgin Voyages’ associate vice president, said: “Our First Mates [travel agents] told us they wanted the ability to sell Virgin Voyages packages, including Virgin Atlantic flights and pre/post [cruise] hotels add-ons.
“Virgin Atlantic Flightstore is extremely well positioned in the industry and this development further demonstrates Virgin Voyages’ commitment to our First Mates.
“We will now have the ability to provide ‘ready-made’ packages that First Mates can use to promote Virgin Voyages to their future sailors [passengers].”
Paul Johnson, head of commercial at Virgin Atlantic Flightstore, said: “Virgin Atlantic Flightstore has worked exclusively with the trade for many years.
“We look forward to expanding our network even further through being the preferred UK trade sales channel for Virgin Voyages’ unique new cruise experience.”
Sara Andell, head of consumer sales at Virgin Atlantic, said: “We know that passengers will love the option to experience even more the signature Virgin customer experience by being able to fly Virgin Atlantic before joining up with fellow sailors on board Virgin Voyages.”
"As our most important partners, we wanted to update you first about our recent decision to postpone our sailings through October 15th, 2020 — which your Sailors will be notified about on Thursday, May 21. We’ve been working hard to find a way to set sail by August, but that hasn’t turned out to be possible".
